Bio...

Vicky Holland finished in 26th position at the London 2012 Olympics after crashing on the bike stage. She hit the deck hard and got straight back up in pursuit, but despite her efforts she couldn't quite catch the pack.

Vicky attended Newent Community School in Gloucestershire, and after competing in swimming and running for a number of years, Vicky discovered triathlon at University in 2005. That same year she won the London Junior Elite race and competed at the Junior Triathlon World Championships.

Vicky had a superb season in 2010, finishing consistently well in the ITU World Championship Series and placing 8th overall at the end of the Series.

2011 was a mixed season, with injury affecting much of it. Her best performances were at Sydney (opening round of the Series) and Yokohama (last WCS race of the year, points count towards the 2012 Series).

2012 started well and strong performances in the ITU World Triathlon Series secured her selection for the London 2012 Olympic Games in a support role for Helen Jenkins.

Originally from Gloucester, Vicky is based in Swansea and spends some time in Lougborough, where she went to University. She previously trained with Darren Smith's international training group all around the world.

Vicky is a member of the UK Sport Lottery funded British Triathlon Squad. The 2012 Olympics were her first Games.
