Bio...

At the 2012 London Olympics, Stuart proved an invaluable member of the team. He led the group on the bike stage as Team GB pushed a blistering pace and ensured any attacks were covered, and that the Brownlee brothers could keep their rivals in check. He helped the Brownlee brothers on their way to a gold and bronze medal, finishing himself in 37th.

In 2004 he was a reserve for TeamGB at the Olympic Games. He did not get to compete, but finished the year ranked 3rd in the world.

Stuart attended Orleans Park School, Twickenham, and hails from a swimming background at Hounslow Swimming Club. He converted to triathlon at age 15, around the same time that Hounslow teammate Tim Don (2006 World Champion) did exactly the same.

Stuart has been a regular performer on the ITU circuit, having finished on the podium at events around the world. His highlight came in 2010 when he won the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series Kitzbuhel. He made an attack on the bike which opened up a big lead that was not caught on the run, even by 2010 World Champion, Javier Gomez.

Stuart is known for being an exceptional swimmer and attacking cyclist. He also does very well in non-drafting races.

Other ITU results include Salford (2nd 2004), Madrid (3rd 2004), Gamagori (3rd 2004), Gold Coast (2nd 2008) and Mooloolaba, Australia (2nd 2010).

Stuart is coached by Michelle Dillon - who is also his wife, the couple got married in January 2012. Stuart is a fan of West Ham United.
