Do you come from a Sporting family?

My grandfather was a runner and trained for the Olympics but unfortunately had a knee injury which stopped him from competing. My other Grandfather started running at 65 and frequently does well for his age group in 10km run events.

What would you like to do when you finish school?

I want to go to university but I'm also aiming to become a full time athlete. I will have to see how I can fit it all in when the time comes!

Who do you look up to most in triathlon / sport in general?

Chrissie Wellington is a real inspiration to me, she is an amazing athlete. I also really look up to Paula Radcliffe, she has been really supportive of me in the past.

What is your best strength in triathlon?

The Bike.

How did you get into triathlon?

I watched my dad do the Windsor triathlon when I was 8 years old and I decided that I wanted to have a go. My Dad found out that there was a triathlon near where I live at Hatch End. Although the race was a complete disaster I haven’t looked back since!

What is your best achievement to date?

Last year I was national champion in Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon and am the first athlete to ever get all three titles in the same season.

What is your ultimate goal in triathlon and beyond?

I think every athlete dreams of an Olympic and World title, and to achieve those would be a dream come true. I would like to get a degree although I haven’t decided what in yet. Later on in my athletic career I would really like to be able to help young people from less fortunate backgrounds get into the sport in the future. So far I have found Triathlon an amazing experience and have learned a lot from it.
