Miles is a member of the UK Sport Lottery funded World Class Performance programme and is based in Bath.

Miles is coached by Steve Burton and currently trains with his younger brother Hayden, who is also a British triathlon champion and national cross country medallist. Coming from a sporting background - his dad competed at international level in a number of sports and has won British Elite National Triathlon titles - Miles has been swimming, cycling and running from a young age, making triathlon a natural progression for him.

With a number of titles already under his belt, including European gold at the European Youth Relays 2011, British Youth National Triathlon, Aquathlon, and Duathlon titles in 2011 and winning British National Triathlon titles throughout all age-groups, Miles is one of Britain's most promising triathletes.

What do you consider to be your best strength in triathlon?
Preparation and adaptability in a race setting and ability to run off a hard swim/bike.
What is your ultimate goal in triathlon?
To be part of that very small percentage that is ultimately the best in the world.

What are your plans after you finish school?
Study for a degree, in an environment that will enable me to train and retain my current support network.
Who do you look up to in sports?
Steve Prefontaine, raced without fear and was always prepared to bury himself for the win.
