Bio...

Lois is a member of the High Performance Triathlon Squad based at the satellite centre in her hometown of Leeds and is coached by Jack Maitland. Lois comes from a gymnastics background, and began competing in duatlons at the age of 15, hoping to become a triathlete. She had not previously done much swimming, but progressed significantly on her bike and on foot.

Significant time has been spent on her swimming and Lois has had an excellent 2011, including wining the National Elite title. She has also reprsented Great Britain at championship events during 2011 including European and World Championships.

Lois represented Great Britain in the Under 23 Event at the GE 2010 Edinburgh ITU Duathlon World Championships in September and won silver. She led for a significant proportion of the race, but lost a drink bottle during the technical bike leg and became dehydrated during the final run, allowing team-mate, Sophie Coleman, to run past and take the gold medal.

Lois is a memeber of the UK Sport Lottery Funded British Triathlon Olympic Academy Squad.
