Bio...

A former swimmer, Grant turned his hand to Triathlon and hasn’t looked back since. In 2011, his first year competing as a junior, Grant’s performances in the GE Strathclyde Park Triathlon and the Blenheim Triathlon gained him selection for the GB squad.

What are your plans after you finish school?

I am going to Stirling University to continue my sport and study Mathematics.

Who do you look up to in sport?

Rasmus Henning for his attitude and belief in himself, Michael Phelps and the Brownlees for their sheer dominance.

What is your best strength in triathlon?

My run is going well at the moment.

How did you get into triathlon?

I swam competitively for a while, and ran a little before being introduced to the sport at local level.  I won my first triathlon and thought I'd give it a go.  After about 6months to a year I decided to take it up as my main sport.

What is your best achievement to date?
 
My best achievements are 2nd at Strathclyde park, part of the British Super series, which resulted in selection for the European Junior Triathlon Champs.
 
What is your ultimate goal in triathlon and beyond?
 
My ultimate goal is to compete in an Olympics and be one of the best in the world at my chosen sport.
