Bio...

Having swam and run competitively from an early age Ellen already had the building blocks of a successful triathlete and at the age of 14 approached Leeds and Bradford Triathlon Club and the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Academy to help point her in the right direction.

From there Ellen has become one of Britain’s most talented youngsters placing second in the 2011 Youth Super Series and winning silver at the 2011 Tours ETU Youth Triathlon European Championships with the relay team.

With hopes to go to a university to study biology and train at a high performance centre, Ellen is committed to reaching her full potential in triathlon and would like to race for the senior GB squad at international races and maybe one day at the Olympics.

She is coached by Louise Hanley and considers the swim her greatest strength in triathlon. Ellen looks up to British triathlete Chrissie Wellington for her “phenomenal achievements and her inspiring attitude”.

Ellen trains with Wetherby Swim Squad and at the British Triathlon satellite centre in Leeds.

She is also a member of Wetherby Runners, frequently cycling with triathlon branch of the club, and trains with Leeds and Bradford Triathlon club and the Yorkshire and Humber Academy.
