2 Best Triathlon Betting Tips To Improve Winning

The triathlon event is an intense sport. Apart from knowing the best triathletes to ever compete and betting on them, what would sports betters look at to increase their betting odds?

Worry not readers. We have prepared a list of things to look at and understand to help increase your betting chances.

Here are two of the best triathlon betting tips to improve your chances of winning.

Understand the Types of Bets

Just like in any sport, there are a number of ways that you can bet on triathlons.

The first bet is called “To Win Outright”. This betting type requires betters to bet who will the whole event outright as the type name suggests.  With the large number of participants in each event, it will be hard to pinpoint the exact winner unless there are known superhuman triathletes part of the competition.

However, if you are very familiar with the many different triathletes joining, it could improve your chances of winning.

The next is called “Top 3”, and it is where you bet on the triathletes who will finish in the first three positions. Introducing the variables of the three different positions, as well as the many triathletes that could be in any position, the chances of guessing this correctly are low.

Knowing the Season

Knowing what time of the year the race is happening in is also very important. It may seem like a mundane thing to keep track of, but it is vitally important when you are placing bets.

The most important season is the Olympic season. This is when most triathletes, especially the top ones, go all out. You must keep in mind that it is impossible to train 100% for the whole year. This is why certain triathletes will only train all out during the Olympic season.

Thus, if the race you are betting on falls on an off-season, you may want to change who you are betting for and maybe go for someone who did go all in.

These are only a couple of tips for betting on triathlons. We at British Triathlon Media wish you luck on any and all your betting endeavors.
